Welcome to the new Trading College blog, a weekly feature on the website to keep you up to date with what’s going on at Trading College, what’s going on in the world that might affect your trading, and what our members are up to. At Trading College we are all about trading information and experiences, so get in touch, get involved and let us know your thoughts. Join the community.
Every month we’re going to feature our Trader of the Month, someone who’s got a great story to share, perhaps someone who has done particularly well (or badly but has survived to tell the tale!) If you think this is you, please put yourself forward, or you can nominate someone you think we should feature.
If you’re new to Trading College, welcome! We are a leading provider of trading education. We offer training programmes, mentorships and on-going support for anyone in the trading game. Our students are traders of all levels, from beginners to the highly experienced. We are based in London but we offer online training that can be accessed from anywhere in the world, so we are a highly accessible virtual resource for traders everywhere. Our community stretches far and wide.
Trading College was set up in 2009 by Lee Sandford, who became a trader following his career as a professional footballer. His journey, as told in his book, Goals to Gold, which is part autobiography and part trading manual, shows how someone with absolutely no experience and very few academic qualifications can make it as a successful trader. Lee’s motto is, “If I can do it, anyone can do it!” He particularly champions people who feel their lack of formal education has held them back. He says, “No one should feel that they can’t get ahead in life because they don’t have formal, academic qualifications, and they didn’t perform well while they were at school. Education, covering a wide variety of fields, should be available to everyone at any point in their lives.”
Trading College would be nothing without its members. Our members’ feedback and involvement is everything. Members come together for webinars, forums and coffee mornings to share their stories. This blog will be one more way of bringing people together and keeping our members informed. Please reach out and get in touch. We will always be happy to hear from you.
