Lee Sandford MSTA, CFTe

MD, Trader and Mentor

Following an 18 year career in professional football, Lee Sandford has traded for nearly 20 years (full time for 13 years) and earns his living predominantly as a trader.

Lee established Trading College in 2009 in response to demand from other traders wishing to observe him live trading. Interrupted frequently with calls from people wishing to learn to trade, Lee started by helping friends (and soon friends of friends) to make a career as a trader.

Now a Certified Financial Technician, MSTA, CFTe, and best-selling author, his message to his students is: “Learn how to trade properly and you can have as much freedom in your life as you want”.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?

Definitely San Diego. I used to live there a few years ago – it’s such an amazing city. There’s so much to do and to see. If you travel a couple hours north, you’re in LA. You can hop on a tram and be in Mexico in half an hour. You’re surrounded by beautiful coastline and beaches to the West and if you travel inland, you can find snow!

What are your greatest achievements in life so far?

I’d say graduating University with a 1st Class Honors degree and of course, when I travelled the world on my own for 3.5 years and visited places including America, Australia, NZ, Thailand and Fiji. That was an unforgettable experience!

Where are you happiest?

When I’m exploring a new country or city, usually next to water… whether it be a beach, river or a lake! I also love the mountains.

What is your most treasured possession?

My photos from my travels.

What was the last thing you bought?

Air B n B accomodation for a bank holiday weekend away.

I love animals so really wanted to be a vet! I also love watching crime documentaries so wanted to do something in crime like work in forensics, be a detective or work in the FBI.

Tell me something about you that most people don’t know.

I won an award from President Bill Clinton when I was 7!
