COMPUTER SPECIFICATION To make the best use of our trading tools, there is a minimum computer specification that we recommend. A key tool is clearly your computer or laptop, therefore, getting the right one (and looking after it) is important. We recommend that you use:
- Dual Core Processor 2.9Ghz + Recommended.
- 2gb Ram + • 200gb hard drive space +
- A good graphics card (which helps with chart refreshing)
- The Operating System: Windows XP or Windows 7. (Note: Windows Vista is not recommended as it contained unfixed bugs). • A good antivirus and firewall, such as Symantec Endpoint Protection.
- Internet Connection: 1mbps +
To keep your computer or laptop working to its best ability, we do not recommend that Shareware or software demos are installed as this can lead to malware (viruses) being installed with them. Importantly for MAC users, if you intend to use Tradestation you will need to download some software called Parallels as Tradestation runs with a Windows operating system. The same applies to MAC users wishing to purchase our Pro-Trading System.
