Option 1: Use a domain name and redirect it to your affiliate link.

Option 3: Use third party short URLS or "link shrinkers"

There are numerous third party services you can use to shorten your affiliate links.

Here are a few examples: http://www.tinyurl.com http://www.snipurl.com http://www.shrinkmylink.com http://www.url123.com http://www.graburl.com They simply take your long URL and make it shorter.
